Two Injured in Barracks Fire at Fort Indiantown Gap 
News Release 

Harrisburg Two firefighters from the Jonestown Fire Department were injured while fighting a fire at Fort Indiantown Gap the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 15.

The injured firefighters were transported to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment.  Their condition is unknown at this time.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. the Fort Indiantown Gap fire department, along with 12 local fire departments from Lebanon and Dauphin counties, responded to the fire in building 5-7, a remodeled World War II-style barracks. The building was unoccupied at the time.

The fire was contained within two hours.  The Lebanon County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.  Damage estimates are unavailable.
