Harrisburg – The Pennsylvania Army National Guard and the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will hold a March 28 public meeting on the potential for new secure entry points at Fort Indiantown Gap. Currently, there is not a controlled entryway for the public to access the grounds.
The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28 at the Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club, Building 9-65, Annville.
The public can comment on the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) of the proposed implementation of the Fort Indiantown Gap (FTIG) Master Plan. One of the primary goals of the plan is to implement a controlled perimeter at the installation.
Two action alternatives and a no-action alternative for the proposed implementation of the FTIG Master Plan will be analyzed. The first action alternative would establish two access control points on the east and west ends of the installation. The second action alternative would establish two access control points on the east and west ends of the installation, along with a controlled perimeter.
